Aussie accountant moving to Edinburgh

Hi 👋🏼 I’m Sam, a 24 y. o. professional accounting/audit manager who’s moving from Melbourne to Edinburgh at the end of May for a two year secondment. Work will put me up for 2 weeks, so looking for a place from 8 June.

I’m a tidy, clean and friendly person - always up for a chat, but also enjoy some reading/social battery recharging time as well, and respectful of others’ time and preferences.

My latest passion is (watching) motorsports, although I generally love to watch any live sport - back home I go to the Aus GP, Aus Open and Boxing Day Test every year, and try to fit in any other international sport fixtures as well!

Would be great to find a flatmate/s who’d be down to explore the city/introduce me to your favourite spots when we’re both free.

Planning on working from the office the majority of the week, with a day or two WFH.

I’m also hoping to fit in a lot of Europe travel while I’m here, so am planning to do a fair few long weekends/trips away.

Must haves:
- furnished
- within a 30 min walk of Haymarket
- my budget’s up to £750, but some wiggle room (since I’m also considering living alone and that’s £1,000+ 😭)

Prefer, but fine without:
- washing machine
- rangehood (I love to cook)
- en suite/private bathroom
- if you have a pet!! I obviously can’t since I’m not here forever, but would love to live with yours.

Deal-breakers
- indoor smoking (all g with you doing it outside, and fine with vapes)
- party house vibes - obviously all for a gath now and then, but not keen for heaps of parties in the flat
