Looking to start new flat share with guy flatmate

I’m a friendly guy, into the listed interests.

Wanting to start a new flat share with someone who can have a conversation but who also likes his space at times. My own room could go up and down in terms of tidiness but I would want to keep common areas tidy.

Would be very open to furnishing the common areas myself over a couple of months and keeping the furniture after a year. I’m a mix of ‘easy minimalism’ and mid-century modern.

Would want us to pitch in and give the place a good clean for a few hours once a week, and be ok with sweeping out daily and leaving kitchen clean. But if the place doesn’t look like a Garden & Home magazine all the time, that’s ok - a few dishes drying in the dish rack or a coffee mug or two in the sink never hurt anyone.

If one of us is sleeping, I’d want the tv played softly. Shout out if the other person wants a whizz first thing in the morning if using the bathroom. I do not like hot, stuffy air in the house in winter, that’s important. We will not work together if you like to keep the windows shut all day and crank the heat, BO and viral load right up..! 😅

I’m looking for an apartment, not a house, with a single bus ride to Western Way. The place should feel luxurious and have a wow factor - something really special to come home to at the end of the day, e. g., a 2-bed penthouse in Innovation Court, Skyline Plaza, etc. Carpets in bedroom is ok, provided they are good, clean and fresh, but I don’t do Carpet City or Carpet Megapolis.

Laying out your Ts n Cs on first contact can make one seem like a scroogy ol’ bugger but truth is I really am an affable, easy-going chap, but in a space like this, if you know what you want, then say it to get it, right?
