Two Imperial PhD students looking for a flatshare!

Hi! We’re Shiva and Shipra, two friends from our undergrad, looking for a social, tidy and relaxed flatshare to join next year. Ideally we’re looking to live with other PhD students, within a cycling distance of Imperial’s South Kensington campus. We’re looking to have a friendly atmosphere; for example we’d love to share dinners as a flat, watch TV together, go to the pub, or have the occasional board games night. Here’s a bit more about us:

I’m Shiva, a first year PhD student in the Department of Computing at Imperial. My research is in PL, formal methods, and verification. I have a tendency to pick up hobbies and not always stick at them, so I’m sure we can find something to bond over. I love films (add me on Letterboxd), going to the gym, and playing my guitar. Last summer I solo-travelled all over South East Asia, and since then I’ve been daydreaming about my next trip - I’m thinking Nepal. I love being outdoors, and occasionally hike / climb.

And I’m Shipra! I recently completed my Master’s in Virology and will be starting a PhD in the Department of Life Sciences at Imperial. My research focuses on how RNA regulation is altered during viral infections. I love running (I would definitely be down for you to join, we can celebrate with a sweet treat) as well as reading (follow me on Goodreads). During my gap year, I’ll be visiting Peru, Brazil and Bolivia before locking into my PhD. Whilst my friends joke that my bedtime is 9pm, I still love a yap and a cup of tea whilst watching telly as a flat!
