Hi! How are you?

I’m Sujith, a health sociologist who recently moved to London from Sydney for a full-time postdoctoral research position at KCL's Strand campus.

Originally from Singapore, I have lived independently and in shared houses in New York, Boston, Nottingham and Sydney. As a housemate I clean up after myself, and enjoy friendly conversation while respecting personal space. Personality-wise I’m cheerful, optimistic, curious, calm and tidy. I enjoy exploring new cafes and places, catching up on sitcoms, reading, writing, and learning new things (currently, I am learning how to swim, and am excited to start dance classes soon!), and while I enjoy going out occasionally, I'm not into loud parties. I cook occasionally, usually on my air fryer or a simple stir fry to meal-prep, nothing too elaborate. Love a good oat matcha latte, coffee or tea 🍵🍰

I’m looking to rent a furnished room (including a double bed, desk and chair) that's easily accessible to the Strand, and that's clean, smoke-free and LGBTQ-friendly. I'm hoping to move for a year or so (up until August 2027, when my contract ends), but I'm flexible. I can move with one week's notice.

I work from home 2-3 days a week. My partner (a PhD student from New Zealand) lives in Cambridge, and it'd be great if he could sleep over occasionally (~1 night/month) 😃
