Room Wanted – Guaranteed Rent – East Sussex Area (Hastings Preferred)

Hello,

I am looking for a room to rent in the East Sussex area (Hastings or nearby if possible) for my children’s father, who is preparing for release from HMP Lewes.

He has served two years for a non-violent drug offence relating to mistakes made as a young adult. During his time in prison he has worked very hard to turn his life around, maintaining enhanced prisoner status through good behaviour, working while inside, and completing a drug rehabilitation programme.

Because of his excellent conduct and progress, he is now eligible for early release on an electronic tag under the Home Detention Curfew scheme. For this to be approved, probation simply needs a fixed address where he can stay and where monitoring equipment can be installed. They would contact the landlord beforehand to request permission and confirm the property is suitable.

Callum is a polite, respectful and family-focused person who is committed to rebuilding his life and reconnecting with our two young children.

As a family we are able to guarantee the rent to ensure security for the landlord. We are happy to pay the deposit and rent in advance while he settles back into the community and looks for employment.

We understand this is a slightly unusual situation, but we hope someone may be open-minded and willing to offer the opportunity for him to prove himself.
