23F professional relocating to London for work
Hey! I'm Lucy, 23, and I'm relocating to London from Scotland for a new role in corporate banking in the City (near Liverpool Street).
I'm originally from near Edinburgh and this is my first time living in London so I'm really excited to settle in and make it feel like home.
I'm friendly, easy-going, and love meeting new people - but I'm also someone who really values downtime after a long day at work. My evenings tend to look like coming home, eating dinner (usually meal prep for the week ahead), and winding down in my room. I'm not someone who needs to be doing something every evening and I'm very happy in my own company during the week.
That said, I'm definitely looking to build a social life in London and I'd love to meet a group of girls who are up for that too.
I love the gym, I've been strength training for almost four years and I'm a qualified personal trainer, so if anyone ever wants a gym buddy I'm very much here for that! I'm also getting into running so would love to be near some good routes. I enjoy going out and when I do I have a great time, but I'm probably not out multiple nights a week, more of a weekend thing when it happens.
A couple of things worth mentioning: my boyfriend lives in the US and we've been together over two years. We are currently doing long distance, so every now and then I'll be away for a couple of weeks visiting him. My role can also involve some travel and I'll mostly be in the office 3-4 days a week, so I won't always be around - which hopefully makes me a pretty low-maintenance flatmate!
I'm really just looking for kind, respectful girls who are happy to share a space, have a chat when we're both around, but also totally respect each other's privacy and alone time. I'm not high-maintenance and just a busy gal looking for somewhere to stay with flatmates alike.
Type of accommodation I'm looking for:
A room in an existing all-female flat share, ideally with 1-3 other girls. East London, North London, or anywhere with an easy commute to Liverpool Street (under 40 mins) would be perfect. Budget around £800-£1,100 pcm including bills ideally, but flexible for the right place.
Who I'd like to live with:
Other young professional women (20s ideally but not a dealbreaker!) who are friendly and sociable but also independent. I genuinely don't mind what your lifestyle is like, whether you're out every weekend or prefer a quiet night in, as long as we're respectful of shared spaces and each other's downtime.
What to expect living with me:
- Tidy and respectful of shared spaces (kitchen will be clean, I promise)
- Sociable and always up for a chat but won't take it personally if you want space
- Quiet in the evenings during the week — I'll probably be tired from this job!
- More social on weekends — happy to grab food, go out, or just hang out
- Away occasionally (boyfriend visits to the US + work travel)
