Couple looking for double room in Newport

We are Claire and Chris, both ex archaeologists, now working in therapy and social care sectors. We are moving to Newport for Claire to do a postgrad course which starts in September so would only need somewhere from August 2026. We are both friendly, sociable and tolerant people. Even though we are in our late 50s and grandparents we think of ourselves as being young at heart and so would be happy to share with others of any age. We have lived abroad for many years and are returning to UK for study and to be closer to family who live in Bristol and Glastonbury.
We are looking for a double room ideally with en suite in a house with shared kitchen and living room. Our ideal house would be a big old Victorian place but would be happy to live in an apartment or any kind of accomodation. We like our own private space and time but would also make sociable, active and co-operative flat mates as we make friends easily.
