the first part at least has the appeal to the few who, as myself, would only be comfortable living with other vegans and without animal products in the house. I have been vegan since age 16, so this is the major dealbreaker for me which makes finding a share difficult!

the second part is what may make me unappealing: having been away from the UK for many years and only just deciding to come back and make a new start, I do not yet have stable employment. I do have enough money to pay some months advance rent to make things seem more secure, but would need to get some of that back through Universal Credit while figuring things out.
I am currently doing a level 5 TEFL course for future online work, and if I find a place to be I can get whatever other work I need quite easily. I would eventually be aiming for further self-employment, perhaps as a confectioner as I have been a chocolatier in the past, but for a start I would be aiming for gardening work or bookshops - environments where I can hold some sanity within the urban environment. I do own a property in Sweden but it is quite a way from being saleable and for now I want to keep it for breaks in the summer while doing bits of work on it. I do want to find a 6 month+ tenency, but in the hotter months may hop off for a couple of weeks at a time to go take care of the Swedish house.
I am a musician (a very weird one), mostly guitars and synthesisers, but anything I play would be electric and with headphones so no one would be disturbed.

I am very sober, very considerate of others, and would take utmost responsibility to ensure all costs are paid on time. I'm quiet and perfectly happy not being too sociable, while equally happy to engage in any kind of conversations and to build new friendships. I can cook (all vegan, of course), I can keep things clean, if you have a garden then I can take care of that. I have also built bicycles as I was travelling by bike for some years, so you'd potentially have a mechanic at hand!

While finding work or working part time I'd still be out of the house a fair bit, especially in good weather.
I think due to how adaptable I am I'm probably the ideal housemate, but I know that for the reasons stated above it will be difficult for me to find somewhere. I'd definitely appreciate the helping hand of someone giving me a chance and at the moment my time is nice and free to meet up and talk to see how things feel.

I have been looking for a flat of my own but as I want to be in London, the prices are just a little bit beyond what I can manage for such tiny spaces.
I don't mind a small room if there are some other parts of the house to occasionally stretch the arms in, or to study or work, though I will have a load of books and a few instruments so I suppose nothing too shoeboxy.

what I can afford depends on the Local Housing Allowance for the area. as I say, I can afford to pay some months in advance if necessary but as until I find work this is all the money I have I don't want to drain it all and would appreciate (without abusing) help from Universal Credit to ensure I can use this as a step to building a future here. this seems to vary between 130 and 180 pounds a week so I guess I'm looking at not much more than 600 a month for a start, with the possibility to pay an advance. less will make things better, I could stretch to more for somewhere that really seems good (especially if closer to Kew as I definitely aim to try for work there!)
