Artist, on Universal Credit, Room for Long-Term
(Click show interest and I will contact you if it shows 'upgrade to contact')
Hello, I am looking for a long-term place to live, ideally to be in sustainable long-term community with other creatives, or just open/accepting people without social pressures and forced friendships. I am a collaborative and community minded person but never want myself or someone to feel pressured to be social specifically.
I am 27/28 (28 in 1-2 months), so would ideally like to be with people in their late 20s or preferably older; I tend to get along better with older people, but I am flexible as long as there are others who are in their late 20s or older. I was born and have lived in London/Southwark most of my life, so would prefer somewhere in this borough or South London but not really attached to this.
I am on the introverted side overall and my alone time is important to me and I respect others' need for that too. I am quite an upfront/direct communicator especially when it comes to anything that requires collaboration and this is important to me.
I love getting to know new people and seeing where we do align naturally. I spend a lot of time in my room writing and in my creative zone, I also love to cook and love sharing food and am down to do shared meals. I do enjoy going out too though I do not do it much haha, and love music and singing and dancing. I don't really drink and do not smoke and would prefer to live with non-smokers, but flexible as long as you do not smoke indoors.
I am on Universal Credit and can provide previous landlord references only, so this must be okay with the landlord - I do not have a guarantor. The council/homesearch team are helping me with the house search and I have been told they would pay an extra incentive to the landlord for working with them so this is also a bonus if that would be of interest.
My budget varies depending on the postcode as the amount you receive for housing depends on the area. With that in mind my budget can be anywhere from 700-900, and I am willing to stretch that for the right place. Absolute maximum would be 1000 if bills are included.
En-suite is ideal but as long as it's not too many people per bathroom and we keep it clean this is okay too.
My move out date for my current place is 2nd May so would ideally like to have a move in date before then, preferably mid April but earlier is fine also.
Thanks for reading, do message if you have a room available for me !x
