Another Kiwi in London
My pitch is that I’m considerate, caring, tidy, and genuinely enjoy sharing a home rather than just a room. I enjoy a bit of communal living: occasionally or regularly cooking together and hanging out in shared spaces. I also appreciate when others or I might need space to ourselves. I dabble in baking, so there’s often some sourdough (yes i have managed to get a starter) or something sweet on offer! You will find me gardening when I get the chance, and I’m very good at keeping the kitchen clean - some excellent habits have been taught to me by other past flatmates. I am honoured to call many a flatmates who I shared a home with very good friends now.
Outside of work, I enjoy board games, recently joined a Dungeons & Dragons group, and I’m always up for a flat games night or other shared activities. I love getting outdoors, going for walks, and I’m keen to get a bike so I can cycle around the city. For the past six months I’ve been house‑sitting, which has been great to spend time with lots of cats and dogs, but now I’m keen to settle somewhere before summer really starts. I am looking to find a home base, start to build connections to a local community, and have the bonus of being able to take the occasional spontaneous trip to Europe to visit friends (some who are my old flatmates themselves).
On the work side of thing, I work in healthcare regulation, doing HR and currently work mostly from home, with one day a week in the office in Kennington. HR is a profession I stumbled into. My passion has been more environmentalism. I have always worked in the public or NGO sector, I am a very purpose and values driven person. I am keen to get involved in some purpose driven community work or activism here too.
Some final titbits about me... humour is life, I am mastering the talent of the lame uncle, I am queer, I don't like cheese (I know, shocking!), I love random facts, love to tinker and fix things.
