30 yr old professional looking for double room :-)

I'm looking for a double room in a flat to move in from 31 March 2026 but could be flexible for the right place. I would like to sign a contract for a year ideally. My budget is around £1050 pcm including bills.


My current housemates are leaving the UK so I'm looking for a nice room in a house share. I like to cook and have enjoyed having meals with my housemates and hanging out and chatting in the living room. I'm a tidy and relaxed person. I'm looking for a house share that is also relaxed, respectful, and sociable where we can hang out as a house but also have some quiet downtime.
I've lived in London for 7 years to complete my PhD and now work in the civil service. I work from home 2-3 days a week.

I'm sociable and like to spend my weekends exploring new restaurants (my favourite cuisines are south indian, Mexican, and lebanese, Georgian!!), running in the park, and going to the markets. I go to gigs and bars most weekend in east London, but alsk enjoy spending my time at museums, book clubs, and concerts.
