I have a double bedroom available for rent in my flat on Albany Terrace. The rooms is furnished with a double bed, mattress, desk, chair, wardrobe and a couple of other bits and bobs, but you are more than welcome to bring your own stuff too :)
The flat itself is very spacious, with big rooms and high ceilings. It has a large living room as well as a modern kitchen with dining table. The hall is huge hall and there are two bathrooms. It is in a lovely location on a quiet street, about 10-15 minutes walk to either university and about 15 minutes into the city centre. It has its own front door which opens out into a private garden which is great for BBQs in the summer! There is free parking on the street outside.
I’m Jo, I’m 27 and I run my own company but I currently work in Newcastle so am hardly ever around - I just keep my room for when I visit (which isn’t very often!). The other room is occupied by Kathleen, a post-doc working in neuroscience and her partner.
The rent is £320 per month plus £50 towards domestic bills (gas, electricity, TV license, Virgin broadband) and I’m told the the council tax is about £150 a month (so £75/room). Happy to rent to a couple at £420 including bills.
The room is currently vacant and is available immediately. I’m in Newcastle at the moment, but my dad/the current tenants have kindly offered to show interested parties around, so drop me a line if you’d like to view :)
