Hi there,

I've not long owned my first home and have spent love and care getting it to a homely, cosy place. My current lovely lodger is soon to move out and I'm looking for someone new to move into my spare room (a small double).

The contract is 3 months and then monthly rolling after that. I would also be open to a weekday (mon-fri) only stay and would of course bring the price down for this (please get in touch if this is of interest to you).

The room is semi-furnished and currently the bed is against the window as my current lodger has put up a small desk and wanted more floor space. It's not a huge space for a full desk setup though and so this room would suit someone who works in the office rather than from home.

The house is in a great location, 5 minutes from North Street and only 15 min walk to the harbourside. There is free on-street parking in the area which is always easy to find, and quick access to supermarkets, great pubs and cafes, Victoria and Greville Smyth parks. Rent is inclusive of all bills (gas, electricity, council tax, water, broadband). I have an Amazon firestick with some subscription channels, and a TV licence. I have a small south-facing garden which I plan to get furniture and a BBQ for ready for the summer.

I am looking for someone in professional, full time employment who is office/place based, easy going, friendly, clean, tidy, and most importantly considerate of my home.

I’m active and love outdoorsy activities so am often out and about. I also love theatre, comedy, and going to gigs. I’m quite chilled and very happy to have relaxing quiet weekdays, but also do like socialising and going out to the pub (a normal balance of both!).

I am keen to find the right person more than anything so that we can make this a lovely environment to cohabit together!
