Double room available in light, spacious house
Looking for a sociable, tidy lodger to move into the double room available in my house.
The rooms is fully furnished with a double bed, lamps, wardrobe and curtains. The room has large windows that let in lots of light all day!
The house is three bedrooms, with my partner and myself living in one and one already rented. The whole house has recently been renovated and has all new paint and brand-new furniture in every room.
The house has three bathrooms, one in our room, a bath / shower upstairs and a toilet downstairs.
The shared kitchen has a 4 ring gas hob / oven, grill and a microwave, toaster etc. Fully equipped but there will be space for you to bring your own crockery etc if needed. There is a large fridge freezer, washing machine and a dishwasher. (lots of stuff as I love cooking! 😊)
The shared lounge / dining room area has a large table with six chairs, coffee table, tv and brand new 4 seater corner sofa / chaise-long. The room gets loads of light and has French doors that open onto the patio / garden that gets the sun all day, perfect for BBQs and drinks. There is no TV Licence to watch live TV but you are welcome to set one up!
Parking is on street or on the shared driveway, you don't need a permit. There is a shared driveway and currently 1 car at the household. We have a locked gate to get to the garden/driveway so storage for bicycles or motorcycles is secure.
Cleaning is the responsibility of everyone and shared areas do need to be kept tidy as we want a nice to place to live. Your room is yours to do with what you want (within reason) and you can mount TV's on the wall and really make it your own if you are planning to stay for at least a year.
Rent + bills are combined in monthly rent due at the beginning of each month. The bills cover Council tax, water, electric, gas, broadband (fibre optic). I do my best to keep us all on the best deals available for them and would welcome any suggestions going forward. Any fluctuations with usage getting high will be passed on.
Lodger will have a lodger agreement to sign and deposit will be taken in first months living. It will be returned if no damage (within reasonable wear and tear limits) to the property is found.
We live just off Two Mile Hill so it is really easy to get into town or to the shops. There is also a co-op about 30 seconds walk away and a Lidl etc a little further.
If you work anywhere East of Bristol (Bath, Chippenham etc) it's really nice to not have to use the motorway from the house and just go out on the country roads.
No smoking inside the house however there is a garden and patio.
All bills will be split equally between all the lodgers.
We love pets but unfortunately we already have a cat so we have to say no to others! Our cat is 4 years old and has a big personality. I would say you need to like cats to want to live here as she roams the house freely and loves to cuddle so you are likely to find her under your bed if you don’t keep your doors closed!
