Our housemate is moving out to live with his partner, so we’re looking for another great housemate to replace him.
The room is available from the 21st February. It’s an unfurnished very spacious double with plenty of room for a desk if WFH. It's south facing and gets lots of nice light during the day - though has great blinds for lie-ins too!
The house was largely furnished by our departing housemate, so there's scope to bring your own living room/kitchen furniture, or we can enjoy re-furnishing the house together! We've had a few offers for the essentials already so no pressure either way.
It’s a double glazed terraced house, with a raised front patio away from the pavement (lovely for a coffee in the morning summer sun). The house has all the normal bits like a living room (inc. TV) and kitchen / diner (inc. all mod cons + sink).There’s also lots of shared storage space under the stairs. The garden has raised beds (inc. plants + attempts to grow veg) and a decking area (inc. the evening sun + BBQ).
It’s in a great spot, walking distance to the Centre / Gloucester Rd / Easton and you can easily get anywhere by bike. We’re only a few doors up from The Church climbing centre and a stone's throw from Narroways nature reserve. The neighbourhood has a lovely community feel with some great local shops and pubs (Sonni’s, Napolita, The Farm, Wiper & True, Miner’s Arms etc).
We’re a teaching assistant and doctor. We moved in a year and a half ago and love living here. The house has a great cosy feel to it without feeling like you’re on top of each other and has been the perfect place to weather lockdowns, though hopefully this won't be relevant anymore! We’re a social and communal household and often cook / pub / board game / cycle / climb together. We’re veggie / vegan and try to keep things eco conscious and sustainable in the house and would like to find a housemate with a similar ethos.
Our private landlords are super friendly and responsive. References are required and you’d sign on to a new 6 month contract with us (rolling thereafter). Bills are split equally and are around £100 a month each.
