Unique Flat with view of Penguins!

Our building is in the top left of the Photo.

The flat is opposite Clifton Zoo and Clifton College gym is at the end of the road. Clifton Downs are at the other end of the road. Neighbourhood is quiet and pleasant and parking is easy to come by as most of the buildings in the road are part of the college and theres not many residents to compete with ; )

The flat itself is set within an old Georgian townhouse, with high vaulted ceilings and large windows. Consequently, the flat is light, bright and airy, with some character of its own.

A little bit about me...

I am an entrepreneur and work from home as well as travelling frequently. I am quite into fitness and normally go to the gym or acroyoga straight after work for a couple of hours. Massive Game of Thrones fan.

I normally find myself at acroyoga or Crossfit most evenings or hanging out with friends and on the weekends I go to the gym, bouldering and hang out with friends. I also occasionally go camping in my VW camper.

I travel about a week every month for work.

All bills are included except for gas and electric which we split 50/50. Current cost is £30-40 per month total (so £15-20 each for bills).

Broadband is Virgin 350 MB per second included. There is an additional router to make sure it’s good signal wherever you are in the flat.

The Georgian flat is uniquely situated close to a large park called the Downs, the historical shops in Clifton Village and nightlife of the Triangle. It has perfect views into Bristol Zoo, and you can see the gorillas, lemurs, monkeys and penguins, and hear the lions roar if you're lucky!

Rent includes a cleaner every week to keep on top of the cleaning.

Here's my top tips for when to catch the animals:

The gorillas are normally out between 7 to 8am and 5 - 6pm. We suspect this is when they get the run of the outside. We have seen the baby gorillas play catch and once one of them pushed the other off the climbing frame and ran away...

The best time to see the gorillas is in the winter months as during the summer the foliage is a little dense. It doesn't make a difference for the Penguins or Lemurs though.

The lemurs can be seen chasing each other through the trees during the day, particularly when it's sunny, so the summer months are the perfect time to delight in these wonderful creatures.

Sundown is the best time to hear the lions roar. You may mistake it for thunder the first time you hear it, as I once did.

You can watch the Penguins from the window at your leisure. They have a little track up a hill on the right hand side that they walk up, but it's got some steps and so they have to do little hops to get up. They often play 'follow the leader', and when the leader stops, they all stop, like statues. We have seen some pretty hilarious escapades from the ducks in the same enclosure too, so keep an eye on our feathered friends!

The neighbours are quiet and the neighbourhood in general is also quiet and suburban in the evenings, with the exception of the intermittent sounds of lion's roaring and penguins chatting! However, these can only be heard at the front of the house, and so you should remain undisturbed in your bedroom at the back of the flat.
