Double Room / Half a House

My amazing housemate is leaving and I’m looking for a new one to replace her! Ideally looking for someone over 25 and non-binary/trans/queer. If you don’t fit into these categories please still feel free to message, I’m open to ideas. The house is with an agency so you’ll need to pass their checks.

The room is a large double in Lockleaze (BS7) in a 2-person shared house, sharing the whole place with one other (me). The room is £487.50 (house is £975/month) and the bills come to £170/month each (council tax, water, gas/electric, internet). The house is a 3 bed, but the 3rd is a small box room that is used for additional storage and for people to stay in.

I’m an easy-going house mate who likes to cook, garden, socialise and when allowed go out for drinks and food. I enjoy growing veg and looking after my collection of house plants. I also enjoy going to gigs, drag nights, cinema etc. The house is queer friendly.

I currently work 4 days a week as a delivery driver for a food wholesaler, but I normally (pre-covid) work in events as a Production Manager and Sound Engineer.

When me and my current housemate socialise together, we like to play board games/cards, watch films/series, listen to music and have a takeaway. I like to have friends over for BBQs and drinks in the garden.

The room itself is unfurnished. It is at the front of the house and has two large windows. It also has a built-in storage cupboard.

The rest of the house is furnished with my own furniture/white goods. I’m happy to move things around etc to fit in some more bits and pieces! Also, there’s a 1970s vinyl jukebox in the hallway. There's a flatscreen TV with Mac Mini for films and a good HiFi in the lounge.

The kitchen has a dual-fuel cooker, fridge freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, espresso coffee machine, equipped with everything you need to cook and eat.

Front garden and driveway with space for one car (plenty of FREE on-street parking), rear garden with shed, veg patch, patio, BBQ, paddling pool and large grassed area.

5min walk from Filton Avenue with shops and takeaways, 5min walk from Stoke Park/Purdown Tower, small square 2min walk away with Post Office, off licence and a couple of takeaways, Lidl/Aldi a 5min drive away. Bus stop just up the road and Filton Abbeywood train station a 15min walk.

The room is available from the beginning of May on a initial 6 month contract. There is also a deposit to be paid.
