Hi my name is Jodie (33), I live with my cats in a 2 bedroom house and looking for someone easy going to go in on a joint tenancy with me.
About me
I spend my time with cosy activities such as movies, bingeing series/anime and video games. I also enjoy nature walks and crafty things but always get bored doing them alone, so would be fun to have someone to go on little adventures and do projects with.
A few of my other interests are house plants, gardening, aqua-scaping, tiny houses, space saving designs and collecting tiny things for my type tray :)
Socially I love to have movie or board game nights with friends (Usually with a few drinks and occasionally cocktails, but I'm not a party girl) and will have people over once or twice a month for this (More often I go out to friends for an evening on the weekend).
I can be a little anxious socially so would be lovely if my new housemate became a friend rather than a lodger, someone happy to do their own thing a lot of the time but would be happy to do cosy activities together sometimes and wouldn't mind me tagging along occasionally to share in your interests on my braver days :)
About the house
It's a 2.5 bedroom with a large open living/dining room, decent size kitchen with entry way for coats etc, a shared downstairs bathroom with a shower and a large garden. Washing machine but no dishwasher (There is a space for one if you have one though)
Your room is a double that goes from the front to the back of the house and has a built in deep wardrobe over the stairs with storage above too. (All furniture in the room will be removed before you move in).
Important Info
Rent: £550.00 p/m
Deposit: £475.50
One off admin fee: £50 (£25 each)
Council Tax Band: B
Bills: Allow £200 to be on the safe side but should be a little less
To meet the tenancy requirements we will need to jointly earn £33k a year, due to me being part time my new room mate would need to earn £19,700 per year to be super safe.
The contract will be a joint tenancy, essentially meaning we will both be responsible for the entire property, not just our own rooms. So a tidy/clean person is a must.
This also means can't accept students as it would change the rental agreement to a room share which I've been told my estate agents don't offer, sorry.
We have a private drive which we can share if you have a car and there is always on street parking right out front as its a fairly peaceful/quiet road.
I have cats so unfortunately I can't accept any other pets, sorry.
I put no preference on smoking, but any smokers would have to do so in the garden, not indoors.
I'm a vegan but don't mind living with a non-vegan so long as cooking areas are kept clean :)
Hoping I haven't missed anything important, feel free to message me on here if you have questions or are interested.
Looking forward to hearing from you :)
