We are just 4 miles from the centre of Bristol, with a bus stop about two minutes' walk away taking you straight into the centre. We would prefer short lets or 4-5 nights per week.

The room is private and quiet and is on the first floor, together with the main bathroom, featuring a bath and shower. The room is furnished with a double bed, dressing table, chest of drawers and wardrobe. The room is solely for one person, with no guests. There are great views out the window of the surrounding countryside. Our house is in a quiet spot, with amazing views over Dundry.

I live in the house with my husband, who is a firefighter, and our three children will be at university most of the time. I am a journalist and you can check out my profile at LinkedIn.

We are looking for a professional female, ideally on a Monday to Friday (or Sun-Thurs) base, or on a stay short-term while finding your way around Bristol. Just drop me a line and let me know what you need.

We can fit a medium sized car on our driveway and there is room to keep a bike, if needed.

We are a relaxed family, and I enjoy running and pilates - and Ashton Court is just on the doorstep for great runs. Our home is comfortable but not a show home and we have a couple of rooms that we are about to update downstairs. We want to find someone who feels comfortable with us in our home, but having worked away myself I understand that you may value your privacy as well.

Long Ashton is a rural village about 4 miles from the centre of Bristol, with good public transport links. There is a bus stop two minutes from our house (£5.00 return to the centre; cheaper if you get mobile tickets and cheaper again if under 25) and also a park and ride a mile away, taking you to central Bristol or up to Clifton. There is also a cycle path. Bristol Temple Meads train station is around 5 miles away, while the airport is also around 5-6 miles away.

There are some good pubs serving food and an Indian restaurant, as well as a couple of takeaways, or guests staying more than one night can use the kitchen.

All utilities and Wifi are included; and I can provide towels, if needed. We can be flexible with food - e. g. if you want to have breakfast included, or join us for dinner some nights, we can agree a small cost. Or you can do your own cooking. If you don't have a car, I would be happy to take you to the supermarket once a week when I go, if you are staying more than a few nights. There is also a well stocked Coop less than a mile away.

The rates are flexible, depending upon the number of nights staying. Just drop me a line to discuss.
