Our housemate is moving on to pastures new having bought his own place, so we've got a lovely bright en-suite double room available in our sociable Southville house share.

THE ROOM

The room's on the first floor of the house with large south-facing windows so it gets lots of light throughout the day (solid for house plants).

It has a modern en-suite bathroom complete with a toilet, sink, heated towel rail and rainfall shower (ooh fancy). There's also a sizeable built-in wardrobe for storage.

The room comes unfurnished, but there's space for a double bed, desk, chest of drawers and basically anything you'd need.

THE HOUSE

The house has been fully refurbished to a high spec in the last couple of years. It's very well-insulated and warm all year round which is most enjoyable.

The kitchen is nice and modern with all the standard stuff you'd expect (oven, hobs, microwave, two fridge-freezers, washer-dryer etc). Everyone gets a cupboard, fridge shelf and freezer drawer to themselves and we share plates, pots, pans etc communally.

There's a cosy living room with sofas and a dining table plus a private back garden that gets lots of sun in the summer and is perfect for BBQs, evening drinks and festival pres.

If you drive, parking is via permit with (I think) three available to the house. Currently only one other housemate drives so that should be sound if you need one.

THE AREA

Southville's a really nice, safe residential area with a good mix of families, couples and other house shares jumbled up together. There's lots of green space, pretty houses and views across the city to Clifton and the Suspension Bridge. Overall, top marks.

The house couldn't really be any better located. It's just off North Street and is within very easy, convenient walking distance to anything you could need.
- 2 minutes to North Street and its many pubs, shops, bars, restaurants etc.
- 7 minutes to Aldi
- 8 minutes to the nearest gym
- 10 minutes to Greville Smyth Park
- 15 minutes to Harbourside
- 20 minutes to town
- 25 minutes to Temple Meads station

THE HOUSEMATES

We're a solid mix of three girls and two lads between 24 and 29, all working 9-5, Monday to Friday jobs in marketing and design. None of us knew one another before moving in but have ended up becoming really good friends so we're ideally looking for someone that'd also be down for that sorta thing.

Some of us work from home some days of the week so there's usually someone around to procrastinate with during the day.

On weekday evenings we'll tend to just relax, cook dinner together, watch poor-quality TV, go to the gym or just do our own things.

Weekends we might wind up at the pub (and beyond), go out for meals, little days out exploring Bristol, watch the football or, again, do our own stuff.

We enjoy a good gig or festival in the summer and will be going to Love Saves The Day in May if that's also something you're on board with.

We like to keep the place pretty tidy and we all pitch in to do our bit so would ideally like someone that would do the same.
