We are a friendly and hard-working couple with two school-aged children and a cat.

We are looking for a trustworthy, tidy and respectable lodger to rent a room in our home from June 2026. Over the years we have typically hosted university students or teachers, but we are willing to consider individuals from other professions. We continue to have good relationships with our previous lodgers, who say they enjoyed living in a family home whilst maintaining their independence.

Our home is situated in a quiet area of Reading, within walking distance of the University of Reading Whiteknights Campus; local shops; Earley station; a nature reserve; and several bus stops. Reading centre is only a 10 minute bus-ride away, where you can catch a 25-minute train to London Paddington.

We offer:
- Large, front aspect furnished room with double bed (full bed linen provided), wardrobe, desk, chest of drawers, and bedside cabinets.

- Ensuite with shower, basin and toilet
- Driveway with parking space
- Large garden with summer house, pond and sheltered seating area
- Fully equipped kitchen and utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer
- Large lounge (owners have private lounge )
- All bills and fast wi-fi included
