1 Good Size Bright Double Room

Double: Good-sized, with a comfortable bed, wardrobe, blackout curtains, coffee table and chair, plus a folding desk for work or study.

Not adjacent to any other bedrooms in the house and so have a good level of privacy once you are inside. Both rooms are freshly painted last year.

The House: This is a friendly home with two rooms which are rented out, shared with live in land lady (and tech project manager) a software developer, and a small dog. It’s a fairly large two-storey Victorian terraced townhouse with calm, bright décor, and Wi-Fi. Please note the dining room now has a sofa and some cupboards in it, I will update photo at some point !

The Area: West Reading is a vibrant, well-connected neighbourhood. Oxford Road (just 2 minutes’ walk) has everything you might need, including a small supermarket, a wide choice of restaurants and takeaways, and some lovely independent coffee shops. Kensington Park is nearby and great for a 1km run round the circuit, or a relaxed stroll in the fresh air.

You: You must like dogs as I have one, they it will not be allowed in your room if you prefer.

Transport: We’re a 5-minute walk from West Reading Station, and buses into central Reading take around 5 minutes. You can also enjoy a straight, 20–25 minute walk into town. Trains from Reading run frequently to Oxford, Windsor, and London Paddington—London is a 23-minute journey from Reading Station. Reading University and the Madejski Stadium are a 12-minute drive away.
