The accommodation is available only for a full-time student.. Will consider academic year enquiries for Autumn 2024, but available earlier if need. I'm offering a large double room with a single bed. and plenty of study and storage space. You'd be sharing with the Kitchen and living /dining room, as well as the only bathroom, with the resident owner.
Location: North-East Woodley(RG5) is on a regular, very good bus route to and from Reading train station, ideal for post. grad students based at the University of Reading's London Road campus. There is a bus service to the Whiteknights campus Earley Gate , but it's quicker to walk or cycle. The house is close to Bulmershe leisure centre, Woodford park and Woodley town centre shops. It's on a quiet residential road.
I'm female, in my 60s I'm a retired professional, independent and enjoying a quiet life in the slow lane. I'm the only other person resident at this address. I do a lot of volunteering locally and online.
The house is small, old fashioned and shabby but well insulated with double glazing, gas central heating and the usual kitchen white goods etc. good broadband. It is, I hope, comfortable and welcoming.
Utility bills are included in the rent. Bed linen, guest towels and use of kitchen equipment also included.
This might be the right place for anyone who wants a quiet place with no distractions from study and is willing to share a roof with somebody who's old enough to be your grandma!
