Single room available in beautiful house share in St Werburghs from 22nd June. Situated on John Street, just a 2 min walk to shops, restaurants, and park on Mina Road.
Bedroom: Single light room (currently with a double bed). Unfurnished but current tenant more than happy to sell double bed, bedside table, IKEA storage cube and clothes rail with room if you prefer furnished. We have a large open house with abundance of extra storage for you, and lots of sunlight. There is a conservatory!!!! There is one bath/shower room and one separate toilet upstairs. The living room and kitchen are our communal social spaces for eating and relaxing together. We have a sizeable back garden with patio space, table and chairs and steps leading to small grass garden and small veg patch. There is also a small raised bed and lots of pots already growing veg and more for any passionate growers out there!
We are two friendly and outdoorsy, female PhD students. We enjoy sharing vegetarian meals now and again, watching films together (/falling asleep to David Attenborough!), hiking and cycling, generally hanging out and enjoy going to the local pub occasionally. We don't ourselves too seriously, and have as much fun out walking as we doing lazing around the house on the weekend. We enjoy having friends over for dinner and to chat, but this house is not a party house. We are very relaxed open-minded people. We are clean and tidy and expect the new tenant to be as well. We live our independent lives but also see ourselves as a family and we are hoping to find a tenant who fits into that. We are ideally looking for another student (or professional) in 20’s or 30’s who have similar interests and principles however that does not mean we are not open to people with other interests! ***SERIOUS STUFF: The house is let through a letting agency. The room will be available from the 22nd June (could be before but not after). The deposit is £500. Rent is £448 (risk of increase with new tenancy contract) plus bills approx. £60 a month (includes wifi, electricity, water and gas). £50 swap tenancy fee. Council tax band: A (as students we are exempt). Guarantor required. No pets. No smoking in the house. You must be able to provide a landlord reference and an employment reference. The contract is 6 months fixed then rolling.
