Lovely room in social Harbourside house

We have a room coming available in our lovely 4-bed house in the Harbourside area from 1st May 2026. It’s a really great location with amazing access to the city centre, lots of light, and a genuinely friendly house atmosphere.

The room itself is medium-sized, with plenty of space for a double bed and room for a desk if you work from home.

The house has four bedrooms and two bathrooms (one on each floor where the bedrooms are). There’s a big living room where we hang out together, plus a small courtyard at the back and a patio at the front that gets lovely evening sun. In summer we often have BBQs and drinks outside.

The kitchen is not the biggest but it’s functional (though the fridge is on the small side), and we have a washing machine and dishwasher. There’s also bike storage space and a parking permit available if needed.

Bills are not included - but they’re around £160 a month.

The house:

There will be four of us in total, aged roughly 25–34. Currently the house includes 2 guys and 2 girls: a doctor, mental health worker, and a software engineer (and the other moving out).

We’re a social house and spend time together, but we also all have our own lives and friends outside the house.

One important thing about the house is that we run a cooking rota during the week. We take turns cooking for everyone and eat together in the evenings. It’s a really nice way to catch up after the day and is a big part of the house vibe, so we’re looking for someone who would enjoy being part of that.

Outside the house we’re generally quite active. Between us we’re into climbing, surfing, the gym, sports, art, gigs and festivals.

Overall the vibe is friendly, mature, respectful and social.

Who we’re looking for:

We’re looking for someone roughly 25–35, ideally a young professional rather than a student.

The most important thing is that you enjoy living in a cooperative house where everyone contributes. We treat the house a bit like a small family. People naturally pitch in with cooking, cleaning, and helping each other out.

We’d love someone who is:

- sociable and easygoing
- happy to join the cooking rota
- respectful of shared spaces
- up for the occasional drink, dinner, gig or house hangout

At the same time, everyone has their own friends and routines, so it’s not an intense house either.
