A friendly older person with reduced mobility is seeking a Sharer for their home to give them a mix of 15 hours’ help and company each week in exchange for the low-cost accommodation.

This person would like someone who would be able to prepare (and share) a simple supper on 4-5 early evenings each week, help with a few practical tasks such as picking up shopping or prescriptions, carrying heavier items and ad hoc errands and prompts and reminders. They would also value the friendly reassurance of having someone around their home overnight.

The accommodation on offer is a furnished double room (double bed, built in wardrobe, chest of drawers) with its own bathroom (bath, with shower over bath).

The property is in an excellent location less than a mile from Addenbrookes Hospital (4-min cycle, 12-min walk), 2 miles from the station (10-min cycle) and 2.7 miles from central Cambridge (17-min cycle).

The person enjoys Church activities, crosswords, listening to the news and riding their tricycle (when the weather is good!).

As a Sharer you are free to work or study as long as you have enough spare time to give the agreed level of company and support and have some availability in the early evenings on 4 or 5 days a week from approx. 4.30-6pm). The ideal Sharer will be a positive, friendly, kind, helpful and reliable non-smoker who ideally shares some of the person’s interests.
