Double room in spacious house near Addenbrookes

Hi all,

I have a double bedroom at Mowbray Road in Cherry Hinton. It’s furnished with a double bed, a chest of drawers, a large wardrobe, two bedside tables and a mirror.

It’s a 3 bedroom house with a living room and a spacious kitchen (we all love it!). The living room has a tv with an Amazon fire stick but can also be used to plug in your gaming stations (we have previously used it with our Xbox and Steam decks).

The kitchen is really big with individual cupboards provided for everyone. We tend to share some utensils and cutlery which is really useful sometimes without buying more.

There is a big patio in the back with a garden. Ideal for storing bikes and hosting picnics in the summer. We also have a very productive pear tree! There is a shed in the garden which can be used for extra storage.

Since this room is smaller than the other two rooms, the rent is lesser. It is £670 without bills. Bills range from £120 to £130 a month pp depending on the season. Bills include - water, council tax, gas and electricity. The WiFi bill is currently £12 pp.

Council band C

The area is in a prime spot with a Co-op just 2 mins away on Cherry Hinton Road. There are many pubs nearby for a quick pint - notably the Queen Edith House (world class pulled pork loaded fries) and The Rock. There are many takeaways and restaurants nearby as well. It’s a 15 min bike ride away from the City Centre and a 5-7 min bus ride away from the Cambridge train station.

The big Sainsbury is just a 20 min walk away straight from the house. The Light cinema is also fairly close.

It’s a 20 minute walk to Addenbrookes or 7 mins car ride with fairly clear roads. For people working in Babraham or Sanger, it’s a 12 minute and 19 min drive respectively.

Current housemates include 1 male and 1 female. One of them is a PhD student at the University of Cambridge and the other is a working professional in the mental health services sector. We are all really social people who also enjoy their alone time.

We are looking for a working professional who is friendly and amiable. Students are not preferred.

The room would be available from 21st March ideally.
