The room now available was recently painted and is comfortably furnished (double bed, bedside table, chest of drawers, bookcase, large desk, built-in wardrobe, three chairs and lamps). Wall-to-wall carpet and curtains. A new extra wardrobe. A very pleasant, large room with wide windows. Wi-fi/broadband throughout. Newly renovated bathroom shared with one other female tenant.
Shared facilities downstairs: well equipped kitchen (with dishwasher, fridge freezer, microwave, el cooker, el kettle, toaster, and all necessary crockery and cutlery). Washing machine in downstairs wc/ shower room. Both the kitchen and the adjoining dining room look onto the private back garden.
The house is well maintained and in a pleasant, quiet location, about a mile from the Huntingdon Road, 20 minutes by bike to central Cambridge, and 10 minutes to the NorthWest university site. Citibus 6 to the Centre of Cambridge five minutes walk, likewise the local Coop.
After working for many years in developing countries, we now spend most of the year in Denmark and Ireland, returning from time to time to enjoy Cambridge with old friends and to attend to the house. We occupy one bedroom/sitting room downstairs and use only the downstairs wc/ shower room during our brief visits. We have welcomed many tenants over the past 20 years and have enjoyed their friendship whilst respecting their space and need for privacy. We are looking for a friendly, responsible, long term tenant (female) who will help keep this a happy space, along with our other female tenant. We have a pleasant garden front and back with some option for growing a few vegetables and lawn to be maintained during the growing season!
