Situated a stone's throw from Whittlesford station, a 2 bed house over 3 floors with a bunch of nice features. Open plan lounge area with wood burner. Well equipped kitchen with dishwasher, bathroom with shower over bath and a 60m long garden with patio, 2 sheds and veggie beds.
Brilliant location for transport links with m11 5 minutes away and regular trains to London and Cambridge. On street parking available.
Room is unfurnished so you'll need to arrange that, though I have access to a van so can potentially help with moving. The rest of the house is currently furnished but some things will be moving with the outgoing tenant. This means you are welcome to bring some of your own things and add your own flavour to the place if you please, if not I'm happy to gather some more furniture.
The room is a good sized double at the back of the house overlooking the garden. Also has access to the converted loft which you are welcome to use as a study, dressing room, second lounge or anything else you can think of. 2 rooms for the price of one!
You'll be sharing with me, I'm 35, work full-time in Cambridge (though hesitant to describe myself as a 'professional'), I'm pretty easy going in most respects, I find I get on with most people regardless of background. I'm a friendly sociable person but also quite happy in my own company. I'm around most evenings, usually studying, cooking, catching up on some series or gaming, but have a reasonably active social life so you'll have the place to yourself some of the time. Interests include music, food, gardening, reading, hiking, festivals and the like. Partial to the occasional beer and other fruits, though not as wild as I once was.
The imminently moving housemate has a dog so if you have a pet that is no problem (actively encouraged actually, I'm a sucker for dogs, cats too but personality dependent).
You will hopefully be an affable type with a mature outlook (though immature humour is always welcome), able to look after yourself, willing to be social but considerate of other peoples space and personalities.
I'm not super fussy about tidiness (not that I'm super messy either mind) but you should be willing to pitch in and keep the place clean, wash your dishes, clean the bath out after use etc.... Feels like that shouldn't need to be said but I've had some housemates in the past that need reminding...
Rent includes council tax, energy and broadband
