I apologise for any delay if you were looking at us, our current tennant was concerned he may not have had his key in time and had to stay another month so we held off until we knew for certain but he has just received it so we are now ready for visits!

Large double room with ensuite to rent in Willingham. The room can be rented out furnished or unfurnished, there is also a built in wardrobe. If you need anything specific please let us know and we will arrange that! There are optional sofas (big or little depending if you need somewhere for a guest), chairs, coffee table.

The house is a 2006 David Wilson "new build" 3 storey town house with the bedroom in question being on the top floor with en-suite so you will have privacy (and the breeze comes in that side of the house so you are cool in the hot weather!). The ground floor has a shared kitchen (pictured), toilet, living room/dining room (pictured), garden, garage (which is currently being used for storage if you needed space also) etc. The middle floor isn't shared but has a bathroom, my daughter's bedroom (which she isn't currently using) and another living room which we use and houses her toys etc so everything is contained and hopefully shouldn't be in your way! (Yes there are two living rooms so you can also entertain in privacy if you wish).

Willingham is situated just outside of Cambridge which is near the Longstanton park and ride guided busway service to Cambridge (the city, science park and Addenbrookes). Willingham is situated in between Cambridge, St. Ives, and Ely so all are close and equal distance more or less. It is a lovely village with two local pubs, two shops (Co-op and One-stop), an Indian, a Chinese in the next village along, Mexican food on Thursdays at the top of our road, Library, farm shop, cafe, Boswells bakery and more!

Housewise I have lived here for a long time (2008) so have everything you could need including white goods (washing machine, dishwasher, fridge freezer, (and a) chest freezer, etc), pans, crockery, even a coffee machine and other electricals including rice cooker, deep fryer, george foreman, ice cream maker, cupcake maker, bread maker, blender, hand mixer, etc, etc which you are welcome to use to get your baking on!

This is most definitely a home share than a house share, we are a quiet young family with a nearly 3 year old daughter and the friendliest little dog in the world! A child may not be ideal but she is a sweetheart, rather quiet (no yelling); and with the house spread over 3 floors there is plenty of space! We have a little Chihuahua called Leia who is really friendly and just wants to be stroked (unlike other Chihuahuas) you can bribe her with little biscuits from the kitchen so she will soon become your life long friend!

It is much more a home than a house share hence wanting to find the right person or people! We are very friendly and I often "overcook" so you can often have dinner made for when you get in etc (1, if you want it (no offence if you dont lol), but 2, I am almost a fully fledged vegan so it will be veggie based; however at times there is cows milk in the fridge and occasionally sandwich meats in the fridge (if my partner fancies) so please don't feel excluded if you do eat meat, you are welcome too! We are very laid back and love to Netflix, often just sitting on the middle floor with the door open. My partner has just bought a Football franchise so he will be setting up a small office area here. Our daughter will be going back to nursery in September (Covid permitting) so she won't be a permanent fixture lol.

The rent is inclusive of all bills including council tax and Wi-fi. On street parking is available. £450.00 pcm. We have BT TV and Sports available if thats also a preference 🤭 We can also get a LAN port for your room of you would prefer to plug in when working from home as opposed to wi-fi.

Couples are welcome too; all info is as above (£750 for two pcm).

Parent and child also welcome, price can be discussed dependant on circumstances and child's age.

If an applicant only wants the room Monday to Friday the rent could be lowered, please drop this in when messaging.

Professional non-smokers please with one month's rent as deposit.

Once the right tenant is found the landlord will then deal with payments, contracts, tax. The owner is my father so we are very relaxed regarding these formalities and want you to feel comfortable and content with the space. It is homey and very relaxing, not like a busy house share in the city which isn't always everyone's cup of tea; we would love for you to come and visit if this sounds like a place you would be happy with!

We are planning our second Christmas here and would of course LOVE for you to stay too; we are also hoping our current lodger and his partner will be coming too so that would be a lovely time to meet and compare notes on us! I will also ask him if he would be willing to write about his time here with us so you can get an idea of what we're really like, we met him and his girlfriend on this website so hopefully we will find another great fit!

AVAILABILITY:

Available from 21st-23rd of August/1st September to working professionals who can prove income and provide job reference, if you are a student then if there is a guarantee of rent that is fine too. There is a work around for everything so don't feel excluded of this is something you feel would be a good fit for you.

One form of photocopy of Photo ID either Passport or Photo Driving Licence. 

Willingham is 8 miles from Cambridge, being 4 miles from the major A14 road. We are 1.5 miles away from the new Longstanton Park and Ride guided bus, buses run every 20 minutes direct to the science park then on to the city centre.
