Large double room ensuite Hospital/Uni bus route

Our apprentice farrier is no longer an apprentice and is leaving us next month, so his room will be available to a new lodger from mid December. It is a beautifully refurbished double room in our Pentre Broughton home with a large en-suite shower, sitting and desk spaces, and step-in cupboard - it is light and airy, and has lovely views in two directions.

We are a local family, a retired project manager and librarian - our grown-up children have left home to follow their careers, and there are empty rooms here that we offer to lodgers - another room (similar to this one) is currently occupied by the chief finance officer of a local firm and there is a third room in the original part of the house that we've just begun to offer. We enjoy reading, good food and drink, DIY, and gardening, and we also like to travel often.

The house has a cottage feel but is spacious, with living room, dining room, kitchen, laundry/drying room, and conservatory. A lodger would have shared use of a bathroom and two toilets, and of course exclusive use of the en suite shower and washbasin in their own room. There is off street parking and a big garden with lawn and fruit trees.

The house is on a frequent bus route for the Wrexham Maelor Hospital, Sainsburys, Glyndwr University, and the train station, and is ideal for a single healthcare professional or student/post-grad wishing to share a family home.

Utilities and WiFi are included in the rent, and a bond of 375 is payable when you move in.

Please note: ever since starting to offer our rooms we've been a happily multi-cultural household, with housemates originally from (among others) Malaya, Tanzania, Egypt, and even Yorkshire [sorry, Yorkshire people, that "even" is a bit of Lancastrian prejudice coming out, I am working on it]. If you're not comfortable with people different to yourself please consider whether you'd be wasting everyone's time to ask for a viewing. On the other hand, consider whether you'll be staying with someone who might change your view of the world.
