Spare room available in spacious sea-view home

The bedroom

My partner and I have a spacious home overlooking St Ives Bay and we are looking for a lodger to join us.

We are 26 and 27 respectively, both open and easygoing people who have a keen interest in travel and photography, and we have two lovely friendly cats in the house. We are usually away travelling but are currently back in Cornwall due to the lockdown and we are currently converting and restoring a classic van.

The room is a decent size, furnished with a double bed, storage space and a TV, with a bathroom including shower and bath just down the hallway. We have a large garden with beautiful sea views and a veg patch which you are welcome to share should you wish to grow your own vegetables. All bills included.

The kitchen, lounge and garden are all shared areas, and smoking is fine outside but not in the bedroom. Electric heaters are not permitted but the room is centrally heated.

Open to tenants of any nationality, and someone who is friendly and easygoing is a plus. As we are both young creatives it would be great to have someone who shares similar interests and enjoys bouncing ideas but this isn't essential.
References are required and will be checked.
Not able to accept pets due to having cats.

The house is around 20 minutes' drive from St. Ives and Penzance, and 25 minutes from Truro and Helston. The surfing beach of Gwithian is just a 2 minute drive away. There is limited public transport in the area so owning a car is recommended; there is ample parking in the driveway and the house is down a lane off the main road so typically peaceful and quiet.
