Double Room – Creative Home near Penryn campus

A furnished double room is available in a relaxed, creative, left-leaning, LGBTQ+ friendly household, located just a 3-minute walk from Tremough/Penryn Campus and close to public transport and local amenities.
I have two daughters who divide their time between my home and their mother's nearby; we maintain a good friendship. To ensure their comfort when they are here, we prefer a female lodger.
I'm a 56-year-old artist, animator, and university researcher/lecturer with a mixed cultural heritage. Over the past 14 years, I've been involved in producing community arts projects in Penryn. Before that, I spent time traveling and making a film that unexpectedly led me to settle in Cornwall.
I'm seeking a lodger who values both personal space and the dynamics of a shared household, including sometimes sharing meals, conversations, or creative activities. The household is generally calm but becomes more animated when my children are present. Therefore, someone who likes music and a lively environment at times, yet mindful of maintaining a considerate atmosphere at others , would be ideal. I am sometimes away, so someone confident in living alone is essential. Applicants who consume more than moderate amounts of alcohol will not be considered. While a female lodger is preferred due to my daughters' preference, other genders or couples with experience living with children and an understanding of the sensitivities of teenage girls may also be considered.

Rent includes bills, though extra charges may apply if heating is heavily overused. The low rent reflects a shared responsibility for cleaning communal areas.

There's also a garden, and if you're interested in growing food, I'd be happy to collaborate on creating a vegetable patch.
