Generous Single with own bathroom

Oh hey! Thank you for stopping by. If you are looking for a cosy, friendly place to stay for a few months in Belfast, today is your lucky day.

Work has taken me to London for quite a while and...you know what London is like. Expensive. So I am renting out the spare room in the flat I am living with my girlfriend - your potential flatmate - Stefania. Our landlord (who's awesome, by the way) is aware, of course, and more than happy for us to.

THE ROOM

The room is normally our study. It is quite a good size. Hopefully the pictures will give you a rough idea (they are taken with an iPhone....sorry) but you'll see it yourself when you come view the room anyway. It comes with a double wardrobe and two (three, if you want!) bedside tables. The plan is to get the table and chair (in photo) out, but if you think you'll need them, Stefania would probably be okay with leaving them where they are.

You might notice there is actually NO bed in the room. Don't worry. We'll buy you one. So you get a shiny, brand new bed all for yourself (single unless, for some kind of weird reason, you come with your own double bed...)

Oh, I almost forgot. The flat comes with two bathrooms, so the bathroom in the photo is all yours!

THE AREA

We love it. We are just by Connswater and we have the lovely Ballyhackamore next door. You have literally everything at your doorstep. Shops (Lidl a 5 mins walk away, a big Tesco, M&S and a plethora of smaller shops a 5 mins drive away), a couple of great cafes (Jack's and The Lamppost), a fantastic restaurant (Freight) and even a cinema (The Strand). The city centre is super close too. I drive so it doesn't really matter much to me, but it takes Stefania 7 minutes by bus and 10 minutes by bike to get to work in the city centre. A taxi at night is usually is less than a tenner. Handy.

THE FLATMATE

Well, she's my girlfriend so naturally I'm going to say she is great. But we want you to come and see the room and have a little chat anyway, so you'll meet her. She is Italian, 35 and works as a sommelier at Ox - if you don't know what these things are, essentially she advices you on wine at a very fancy, super yum yum Michelin-starred restaurant. She also used to sing - professionally, of course - opera.

Oh, by the way. We have a little bear in the house called Bert. He sleeps in a cage though and he is super cute. He also likes pasta.

THE MONEY

You are paying exactly what we pay, fair and square. The £350 a month includes all the bills and broadband minus the gas, which is a prepaid card which you'll split with Stefania as you go. I wouldn't expect to shell out more than £20 a month, though.

Deposit too, of course. But you know how that works I'm sure.

THE DATES

The room is available from October, moving out date is flexible. Ideally until the end of February (when I am due back) but we can work around your dates, whatever they might be, if Stefania really likes you :). We are after a responsible, decent human being who is clean and friendly. As simple as it sounds.

THE COVID 19 BIT

Due to obvious reasons, we are going to try and limit the amount of people coming over to see the house (for yours and our sake). So if you are interested, please get in touch with a little info about yourself!
