Double in Whitehead by sea / train stop to Belfast

Double room in charming 4 bedroom Edwardian home with shared cooking/bathing facilities in the heart of the tranquil village, a few minutes walk from the train stop, sea front and blackhead path walk to the lighthouse.

P. S. if you have used the map feature I'm afraid the location is showing up wrong for some reason, I'm actually in a better location which is in the centre of the village of Whitehead near to the train and the sea front. Apologies for the confusion.

I have a wide range of interests, love learning and keep myself busy with lots of hobbies such a sea swimming, rollerblading and personal development webinars.

I tend to do my own thing most of the time, but I have a little cat who is very sweet and great company for those who love pets (if you have an allergy to cats however this would not be suitable for you).

I would expect a housemate to cook and clean up after themselves and keep the communal areas clean and tidy. I would also ask that they close the kitchen/bathroom door and put on the extractor fan when cooking/bathing to extract smells from cooking / personal care products as I am chemically sensitive and very triggered by smells - if you like to wear strong perfumes/deodorants or use air fresheners/scented products this houseshare would not be suitable for you.

I have an eco-egg in the washing machine so no need to buy washing powders/fabric softeners e. g. as I always try to keep plenty of white vinegar in the house as well. I personally only use non-toxic home made cleaning products and would ask that a housemate does not bring in any toxic chemicals like bleach, plug in air fresheners/scented sachets/candles or use any type of candles actually, due to heavy metals in wicks and fire hazards. I have a few battery powered remote control candles you are welcome to use as I don't allow naked flames/smoking inside the house.

There is a dishwasher, washer/dryer and an overhead thermostatic shower with handheld attachment and a separate cast iron roll top bath (gas heating, so hot water on demand).

Whitehead has a lovely cafe culture, a brand new library a couple of minutes walk away squash/tennis courts as well as a couple of nice restaurants and pubs with live music at the weekends.

It's so handy to walk down and take the train to Belfast, Carrickfergus & Larne (for large supermarket shops, although there is a Spar shop a couple of minutes walk away with all you could possibly need), Jordanstown (for uni) and beyond (I would take the train to Belfast and bus to Dublin airport if I was travelling so no need to worry about airport transfers and parking).

Would suit a visiting researcher, PhD student, professional etc. In terms of accessibility you wouldn't need to drive to live here, but if you do there is on street parking and there are a few steps up to the front door and stairs up to the bathroom and bedroom.
