Riverwood Cottage and Heather View Cottage are two bedroom cottages next door to each other positioned on a country lane, in a row of only 8 terrace houses .
We are equipped to accommodate different circumstances including, lodgers, short or long term.
Popular with farmers and those that enjoy a peaceful lifestyle.

Each situation is priced accordingly.
Stanhope is in an area of outstanding natural beauty , a 35 minute drive to Durham or Bishop Auckland and an hours drive to Newcastle .
There is parking on the country lane.
The cottages were built in the 1880’s and are surrounded by fields with nearby woodland, stream and river. It’s a very therapeutic and idyllic environment for anyone that appreciates the countryside.
There are lots of characteristic features that make it feel homely.
I live in the row of terraces.
The lounges have log burning fires and all rooms have beautiful views .
Basic household bills are included. Longer stays will have a reasonable energy cap.
We now also have a Yamping experience coming for the summer. Ideal for those wanting a tent base to experience the outdoor adventures in Weardale .
