If you fancy having your own comfortable room in a large shared house situated below a ruined castle, and also the idea of good company and shared living costs, then this is the house for you! We have a double room available from the beginning of July.

We are Jenny, Jon and Ray, and we would love to hear from you if you fancy sharing our listed Georgian townhouse with us? Cockermouth is a gem of a town with plenty of open spaces, riverside walks and a variety of pubs, bars, cafes and some great little independent shops as well as the glories of the Lake District all on your doorstep!

For £250 pcm + bills £115 approx/ pcm and a deposit of £200, your room is on the top floor and has an en-suite bathroom - bath only - but you could use the shower downstairs.
The room is potentially large enough to be used as an office if you work from home.

You also have share of a huge living room and the kitchen on the ground floor - think large sofa for lounging in front of real fire, making and listening to music ( Jon plays in bands), entertaining friends, table tennis, poker nights and regular chat around the kitchen table on an evening. We also have our own suntrap of a courtyard garden, complete with a well, for drinks and BBQ's in the summer.

You can join in as much or as little as you like but as the house is so big, you will not find privacy, or solitude, a problem either. Smokers are also welcome. We also enjoy meeting and living with people of all ages.
