Room to rent in sociable house

We’re looking for a new tenant to join our friendly sociable house in Kendal. We value being tidy, clean, and respectful.

The room is a double room with a spacious storage area, and is unfurnished. Although the previous tenant may be open to selling their bed and mattress. The house has 2 bathrooms, kitchen, utility room, living room and a kit/storage/laundry drying room. We have 2 parking spaces at the back of the house and plenty of free on street parking. There isn’t a garden but we have a small patio area and are close to Kendal Castle.

Working from home is fine as long as it’s in your own room as we like to keep the communal and living spaces relaxed and for everyone.

We are located 5 mins from Kendal train station and bus station and 10 min walk from the town centre.

We are an adventurous, outgoing household who like spending time outdoors and at the pub. Our interests include outdoor swimming, hiking, climbing, running, mountaineering, gardening, reading, crafts. There are currently 3 of us working in outdoor education, the charity sector, and the environmental sector. We are looking for someone with similar interests to join us who enjoys socialising, is laid back and chilled, but also clean, tidy, and respectful of others space and belongings.

Bills are not included and come to around £80-£120 per month depending on the time of year. Council tax is included in the rent. Room is available from the 3rd May.
