I’m Jen and I have a beautiful house with room to rent in the fabulous town that is Keswick. I work weekdays and on my days off I like to get out in my back garden (which obviously encompasses the whole of the Lake District!) I love my running, especially over the fells, and far too often I’m found taking part in different ultramarathons.

In the house currently is also my boyfriend (Simon) when he’s not away working offshore, and Joe, who works mostly from home as an engineer. The place is big enough so that we won’t be tripping over each other, but it would be good to be able to socialise and share meals every now and again. I do like to keep the place clean and tidy and ask that you respect this please and thank you! Other than that, my home is your home, make it what you will :)

The house is a large semi-detached period property split over 3 floors. The large kitchen and dining/living room is on the ground floor. My bedroom, a spare bedroom and the main bathroom is on the middle floor. The top floor has two bedrooms (your bedroom!) and another bathroom, and also has some stunning views over the local hills. The spare bedroom can be used for your visitors as well as mine - we have a simple calendar booking system on a first come first served basis.

All the rooms will come furnished with king size bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers. If you also feel you need a desk, we can surely figure something out! The kitchen is also fully stocked with pots/pans/crockery/cutlery etc.

There is a garage that is currently full of boxes from my recent house move, but I will be sorting this out as quickly as I can, and then it will be a fab kit storage place. There’s still plenty of space to keep kit at the moment though - promise!

Parking is on street and usually not too much of a problem. No permits required thankfully.

I highly recommend coming to take a little look around if you’re interested, not least so you can decide if you think you can live with me!

Oh and I have a dog and two cats. They come with me (and therefore my house), so if you’re not an animal person and don’t think you could put up with them being around (or if you’re allergic to dogs/cats) perhaps this isn’t the place for you. But for everyone else, I promise it will be an awesome place to stay!
