I am looking for a professional lady to join us in this lovely old unique home.

Best of both worlds: Countryside views surround the house, but there's only a 15 minute walk into the town centre.

The double bedroom has been redecorated and has beautiful views. The room comes with sole use of the main bathroom.

I am a young at heart 58 year-old, but alas my days of drinking and late nights are firmly behind me.

I live here with two other lodgers, but sadly one is leaving, as they've decided to move nearer to their family. There are also 2 dogs and 3 cats.

We have a wide variety of interests and in the living room, dining room, kitchen and patio. There is plenty of room for quiet reflection, due to the size and layout of the house. The patio and cellar bar are fantastic for those lovely summer evening, where you can enjoy a BBQ or quiet drink next to the running water. A beehive is the latest addition to the garden. A garage, store room and 2 cellars offer plenty of storage and there is hard standing for 4 cars.

Formally a flour mill, the 1600s house has its own mill pond. A brook runs through the 3 acres site. Herons, egrets, buzzards and kingfishes can regularly be seen. There is also a small woodland with badgers and owls. Since moving in a couple of year ago I have been wrestling with the more successful plants, sometimes referred to as weeds, to create wildlife meadows and habitats. I have vision!
If you enjoy walking the house is on a bridle path. You can walk into Belper, along the river or up onto the Chevin. The dogs and 2 of the cats would be keen to join you.
