Your Home and the Environment
Avondale Road is a Victorian-built house which, when we acquired it, required a significant
upgrade in order to make it as energy-efficient as possible. Around half of all CO2 and
greenhouse gas emissions in the UK come from heat and electricity production (including
manufacturing and construction industries), with around 9% coming from residential and
commercial services energy consumption.
In an effort to reduce our output, we have made the following significant improvements:
● Triple-glazed sealed unit windows
● 50mm thick internal insulation board to all external walls
● Mechanical Ventilation and Heat Recovery Units (MVHR)
(This system removes damp polluted air and replaces it with clean air, and reuses heat
generated from the house. This should prevent damp and mould spores growing in your home,
a common hazard in old converted houses.)

calls or other noise that may disturb the peace.
We provide the best internet connection available, but recommend you turn your phone off
when you are asleep for your own health and comfort.

nearby business parks as well as the City, very easy by car, bicycle or bus.
Within walking distance, you have Derby City Centre, retailers, convenience stores, fast food
