Morchard Bishop has a deli/shop, doctor's surgery and pub and is on a bus route to Exeter (Dartline, #369), also a train station 2 miles away (Morchard Rd) serving stations from Exeter to Barnstaple. Crediton is a market town 12 minutes drive or bus ride away, and Exeter St Davids is a 30 minute drive, as is Okehampton/Tiverton. The house gives easy access to the surrounding mid Devon countryside and paths for hiking, cycling and running, and both Exmoor and Dartmoor are within a 35 minute drive.
The house would suit someone with a love of the outdoors / nature. As well as being an easy commute to Exeter etc, it would also suit home/hybrid workers.
I'm a live-in landlord, with a background in university research (criminology), but now work as a gardener. I love being outside, and cooking, and have a pizza oven in the garden, as well as fire bowl, both of which get a lot of use and are available for lodger's use, as is the swimming pond and sauna.
I'd like to share with somone who shares similar interests, e. g. cooking, nature, current affairs, outdoor skills, hiking etc. I'm happy to share meals, watch a film etc in the evening, but also appreciate others' need for private space and time.
I have previously had female lodgers and only ever had positive experiences, which is why my preference is for a female lodger.
