What other lodgers have said:

"Having lived in my fair share of flatshares, this has by far been my favourite. Real welcoming and friendly household, with room to feel comfortable and socialise as well as have your own space when needed. Bear's a great landlord who goes above and beyond the norm (it isn't often you want to stay in touch with a landlord after you move out). Location is super convenient. The adorable pup is a welcome bonus. Would recommend to anyone looking for more of a home and not your standard room-to-rent." JH

"When I was told that I would be seconded to work for six months in Exeter - a place I had never been and knew nobody - I was very anxious. However, Bear's place was fun, homely and made me feel right at home. Living here was the highlight of my stay in Exeter.
Firstly, Bear's house is lovely. All the rooms are huge and well decorated, the shower is awesome and the kitchen is well stocked. The location is also great - it's close to the centre of town, a big Aldi and other smaller shops. The garden is also beautiful. The room was better value than anything else I saw in or around Exeter.
Secondly, Bear has a Cockapoo called Moshi, who is the cutest, friendliest and most mischievous dog I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. I will always miss getting home from work to find Moshi waiting for me.
Lastly, Bear is the perfect landlord, and a great housemate. As a "messy minimalist" he is easy going but keeps the place looking cool. He is kind, open, honest and very witty. You may find yourself getting lost in conversation with Bear, discussing everything from particle physics to Ru Paul's Drag Race.
I could not recommend this place more. I came to Exeter looking for a room, and a landlord; what I found was a home, and a friend." SB

Large private second floor double bedroom in a friendly, unpretentious (bit shabby) house, with original white painted floorboards, a desk, a chest of drawers, open wardrobe and IKEA storage unit as well as large reclaimed shelves. Futon company platform bed.

This quiet room is currently being renovated including new double glazing and repainting (white). You have the second floor entirely to yourself. The room can be cool in winter and warm in Summer, but new double glazing should help this.

This house has a shared living room and a large kitchen with dishwasher, tumble dryer and washing machine. The house is spacious with a mixture of vintage and upcycled furniture (the sofa is held together with duct tape) with original 150 year old floorboards. It's a nice relaxed space with a modern upcycled minimalist industrial feel. If you like hipster coffee bars, you'll probably like this space.

Woodburner. Dog. Garden hammock. It's a place to feel comfortable, relaxed, uncluttered. If you want things to be pristine, this is maybe not the perfect place for you! But if you want a relaxed vibe, friendly without being in your face, this is a good choice.

There is a large bathroom with twin sinks, with good shower and massive bath, which is on the ground floor. The bathroom is being renovated.

There is wifi and 100mb broadband; a 55 inch TV.

17m of outside space with hammock in Summer, church pew, veg patch. The house is in a quiet, friendly street near St Thomas precinct (Cowick street is less than 5 minutes away) with easy access to bus services going into town.

I have a reasonably well behaved super friendly dog, a cockapoo, so you MUST like and enjoy dogs to live here. I'm totally open to lodgers walking the dog if they want company and cuddles.

Vaping is fine in your bedroom. I'm okay with occasional smokers as long as it's outside.

I like a mixed gay/straight household.

Any questions, feel free to text me and I'll answer them.

Walking Distances
==================

Aldi - 5 minutes
Iceland - 5 minutes
Marks & Spencer Food - 10 minutes
Co-Op - 7 minutes
Tesco Express - 5 minutes

The street currently has free parking if you have a car and you do not need a permit. If you don't have a car, it's exceptionally well connected to supermarkets and buses without being in the busy centre.

VIEWINGS
I reckon it's best to have a video call first and a tour of the house. We'll both have a think. Then if you're keen, we'll organise a viewing in person. The bedroom and bathroom are currently being refurbished, but the pics show you how the space can look.
