I have decided to rent out a large furnished room in my flat at a reasonable rate. I thought I should put this advert out in good time so that well-organized people, who are looking for value, can get in touch and apply.
We are based in central Totnes on The Plains by the river, minutes away from everything Tones has to offer. We have a large bathroom and Kitchen with everything you need. There is NO ALLOCATED PARKING, but there are ways around this if you don't mind a 10 minute walk o your car.
About you? You would be a professional, who can clear up after yourself, reliable, trustworthy and treat others as you would want to be treated. Not excessively loud or chaotic; and if you’re very shy and quiet ; that’s also cool. As well as professionals, We would also suit a post graduate or mature student. Did I mention; a sense of humour? It is always a plus.
You will be required to complete a lodger background check, proof of work, Bank statements and 2 years landlord references etc; which Spareroom recommends, and pay a deposit and the first month’s rent in advance. For the months of November to February, we split the Electricity bill (only fuel source) between us equally.
We want everyone who lives here to enjoy my home peacefully, with the occasional board game and/or meal together (After doing thousands of covers in a pub kitchen, I can make a mean Sunday roast!)
I work in IT from home. I like to keep active, occasionally practice yoga, like to cook, and listen to non-fiction audiobooks and podcasts. I am also focused on studying for some IT qualifications. I am happy to clean the communal spaces (Bathroom, Toilet, Kitchen, Hall way) once a week for you, so you don’t have to worry about that.
I understand that you are my customers and I have responsibility to give you a good service. I also understand the inverse of this partnership must be upheld.
One IMPORTANT THING which is reflected in the rent is
- The living room is one of the rooms being rented out, however there still is a communal space for us to share.
At this early stage, I wanted to get this advert out, to bring attention to my offering, and see who was out there. The best thing is to come, see the place and us meet each other.
