House Share for one adult in a family Home

I have a large double room with a single bed with private en suite in our home in Follaton, Totnes suitable for a single person. move in date is flexible btw.

The room is now available again from beginning of October 2025 or near to.
This is a furnished en-suite room for anyone who works away from home.

We have a little dog who sits on our laps and loves to play. This room is for a single and vegetarian sharing with myself (primary school teacher) and my 12 year old child and our toy poodle dog.

In a quiet residential location high up in Follaton, Totnes with beautiful views next the Arboretum 1 mile from Totnes high street with free off road parking next to our house and garden.

You would have your own fridge and storage for your food and have your own set of plates/bowls/ cups/glasses etc… You can share our kitchen to prepare vegetarian meals as we very rarely cook meat but you’ll need your own Tupperware, kitchen foil etc... There is use of the dishwasher, and washing machine but will need your own washing clothes detergent. Until I get a tumble dryer, clothes will need to be hung on a clothes rack in your room or you might want to use the efficient dryer in Totnes which I often use to dry everything quickly.

The kitchen and dining area is open plan which you can enjoy and would be lovely to have shared meals and cups of teas & chats when there is time.

Because there are only two of us, and kids, friends visiting, we have a quiet home and usually are happy and peaceful, enjoying crafting, baking, card games, watching TV programmes, wildlife, running and outdoor adventures. I like the house to be tidy but too often it isn’t but usually have a tidy up at the weekend! We do take our shoes off by the door to keep out the mud and germs plus I shower the dog every time she comes back home as we have cream coloured carpets and a white sofa!

Our home is a non smoking and non drug home that would suit an adult who isn't brining back partners to their room. This also won’t suit anyone who comes home after drinking a lot of alcohol etc.. I love to drink herbal and black teas, fresh turmeric smoothies, water, morning coffee and enjoy a glass of wine/ale with friends.

I like to use natural products in the home as strong smells of perfume / chemical room fragrances make me sneeze so would suit someone who has a similar need, likes more of a natural product lifestyle.

Two weeks deposit is (a security measure, which will be of course returned but will be used to cover any potential damages to the property or unpaid rent) and a reference also is needed.
