If you drive you will reach in Edinburgh town center with in 20 to 25 minutes depending on traffic (very close to A1, just a minute drive). There is a bus stop approximately 5 to 7 minutes walk that takes you directly to Edinburgh town center in 45 min to an hour, or you can take a bus to Prestonpans train station which is 5 minutes drive and can take a train from there for Waverley Edinburgh, this takes 12 to 14 minutes. Queen Margaret university is less than 8 minutes drive.
