Hi peeps, there is one room available from July 1st in the house where Zoe and I live.

About the house:
It's a smoke-free* three-bed house without a garden which luckily is only two minutes away from Preston Park and (who needs a garden if you can have a whole park! 😍).
It's situated on a quiet cute little street with lovely neighbours.
It's really important to mention that this is a safe, caring and loving home where we will not tolerate, racism, ableism, sexism, transphobia, fatphobia and all oppressions.
This is not a party house and we are both sensitive to loud noises, therefore we will not share with people for whom this wouldn't fit well with or who make use of recreational heavy drugs.

About the room:
Rent is £417 a month plus bills. It's a very spacious double on the ground floor with a big window and a big radiator. Furniture optional.

About us:
I'm Mel (she/her), 32, gay, with mental health conditions, currently studying to start a new career and passionate about everything environment-related.
Zoe is 32 (she, they), counsellor, has Complex-PTSD, ME and long covid, passionate about social issues and radical mental health.
We believe in empathy, deeper connections, communication, openness, kindness and care for the environment. Therefore, we would like to share with someone who wants to feel at home together, rather than simply sharing a house. Being able to relax, eat and laugh together and support each other within our limits, as well as respecting regular space when we need it.

About you:
You are a considerate human who wants to feel safe at home and who cares about the house and the people. Aware of the climate crisis and understands that we can do our part to help the environment. Have enough experience sharing a home with different people. Good at cleaning after yourself and understand the importance of living in a fairly clean and tidy space. You could also have a cleaner or PA who does those things for you if unable to do it yourself.
Great at communicating and ideally quite emphatic.

Accessibility:
The street is flat, there’s one small step to enter the house and 3 steps down from the ground floor to the first bedroom, there is a toilet on the ground floor, 9 steps up to my bedroom and another 3 up to the tiny shared living room, 9 more steps up to the bathroom on the 2nd floor and one big step in the bathroom.
The closest corner shop is 100 metres away and there’s a Sainsbury’s local 150 metres away.
The bus stop for the number 5 bus into town is 140 metres away.
