Hi! I am looking for a young professional to share an ideally located maisonette from the 16th of August 2022.
- Costs: £750 pcm rent without bills and council tax. Bills are typically ~£45 each (energy + water + broadband internet). Council tax is Band B (~£85 each). Totaling ~£880/month. Deposit: £865.
- One unfurnished bedroom is available in a two-floor, two-bedroom, furnished maisonette. The spacious double bedroom is located on the top floor and is adjacent to a shared bathroom (bath & shower) which has a skylight. The bedroom is East facing with a lot of light and has a view on the neighbours’ gardens.
- On the ground floor, there is a spacious lounge with a sofa and a large bow window (no TV). An open-plan kitchen combines the kitchen and dining room spaces. Amenities: Induction hob, oven, microwave, washing machine (no tumble dryer), dishwasher, large fridge & freezer, a large dining table, and a lot of cupboard space.
- Location: Robert street. Main Brighton bus stops 2 minutes away from the property. The train station is 4 mins away. Great pubs and restaurants within 1 min (The eagle, Basket maker’s arms, Fatto a Mano, etc.). 1 min away from the swimming pool and 10 mins away from the sea.
-Landlords’ requirements: 12 months contract only, no indoor smoking, professionals (something may be possible to arrange for PhD students that are working). As a note, the landlords are a very nice and responsive couple.
A few words about me:
I’m a researcher at the University of Sussex who is passionate about science and tech. I am also a big nature enthusiast, so you’ll usually find me throughout the year on walks and hikes. I love to go on small and big adventures and after several years living in the UK I still feel that there is much to explore. Weekends would otherwise consist of having friends around for a meal, being out swimming, and watching movies/docs with a glass of wine.
Keeping on learning from my friends and others is important to me and, as I am looking to make this house a home, living with someone that is open-minded and enjoys discussing ideas would be ideal. I had a wonderful time with my current housemate who is sadly moving out and am now looking for someone who is just as considerate, clean, and tidy, but still knows how to be fun! Also, I am 28 years old, living with someone in the same age group would be nice but not necessary 😊
