Two rooms will be available in our three-bedroom basement flat in Hove (Holland Road, very close to Western Road and five minutes from St. Ann’s Wells Park) over the next couple of months:
• One larger bedroom (available from 11th April)
(comes with the bed frame or you can get rid of)
• One smaller bedroom (available from 16th May) (comes with the wardrobe or you can get rid of)
I’m looking for two thoughtful, considerate housemates to join me in creating a warm, respectful and communal home.
About the flat:
• Large communal living room and good-sized kitchen
• Big garden — I’ve got a lot of plans for it and would love some help creating a sanctuary out there
• Two bathrooms (one is just a toilet)
• Basement flat, so it can be a little dark, but it’s spacious and cosy.
• Great location: just off Western Road and five minutes from St. Ann’s Wells Park
Cost:
• Rent: £683 per month
• Deposit: £800
• Bills: approximately £150 per month each
About me:
I’m a 28-year-old trans man, self-employed, and I work from home some of the time. I’m a musician and have weekly / fortnightly band practices at the flat (never super late or excessively loud but making and listening to music is a big part of my life). I’m also an artist, spiritual, and like to travel when I have the opportunity.
I live with my cat, Otto — he’s very sweet and this is very much his home too. I sleep with my door open so he can roam, so being mindful around noise (especially in the morning) is important. Ideally both new housemates would be happy to feed him occasionally if I’m away. people who genuinely enjoy cats is a bonus.
What I’m looking for:
• Honest, emotionally mature people who know how to live in a shared home
• Clean and considerate with communal spaces
• Respectful of different sleep schedules (mine can vary - sometimes I’m up late and sleep in)
• Comfortable with creative activity in the house
• Open to a bit of community, whilst respectful of each other’s personal space
I’d love this to feel like a home where people want to hang out sometimes but equally personal space is respected.
Practical details:
You will need to earn at least £24,000 per year, or have a guarantor who earns at least £24,500 per year, in line with referencing requirements.
If you’re someone who values communication, is clean and tidy, and wants to be part of shaping a positive home environment, I’d love to hear from you.
Tell me a bit about yourself, what you’re looking for in a home, and your availability to book a viewing.
Looking forward to finding the right people to build something really good here.
Best,
Azaria (he/him)
