About me:

I am a man of many interests and activities, which span from running a somatic education business (teaching Thai massage and Contact Improvisation) to taking the occasional contract in the IT sector. I'm into bouldering, running up and down the local hills and in the forest. I'm veggie and I love to share the occasional meal when it flows. At the moment I run a Thai massage workshop from my living-room every couple of weeks, and I teach Contact Improvisation (dance) and Thai massage workshops in London/Brighton and elsewhere. I'm easy going and open to long chats as much as long periods of quiet focus/alone/work from home time.

About you:

I'd love to live with someone who is into somatic practices in some way and delights in having a living room that is a dedicated space for movement and whatever you want to do with actual flexible space! Paint, create, sing, massage, have movie nights with friends on a pile of cushions etc. Ideally you have a curious mind and are up for the occasional deep chat as much as you also like your own space and quiet time to yourself.

About the space:

Living room: There are yoga mats, massage mats, cushions, the near perfect setup for floor life :) There's also an awesome wood burner. There's a scaffold pole running across the ceiling with a hanging yoga swing (for inversions), wooden gym rings and paintings and hanging fabrics. No permanent sofas or large furniture. If you are into mostly floor life you'll fit right in! It's a sunlit living room that would also suit someone doing online classes perhaps or who needed a space to paint for example. I do also have a table for six with benches that can be put in place and also removed relatively easily. I have a big screen that can be brought in for movie nights, but it's not a permanent feature of the space.

Kitchen: Fully kitted out with modern induction hob, great oven, juicer, good blender/food processor, good fridge freezer, breakfast bar. I like baking bread and have decided its time to graduate to sour dough loaves!

Downstairs bathroom: Shower and toilet.

Utility room: washer and dryer and separate sink, towel storage.

There's an upstairs which is currently undergoing a gradual renovation, which most of the time you won't really hear or be at all disturbed by.

Garden: A little bit untidy but with beautiful big evergreen trees, I also have a patio and table & charis outside.

There's a driveway which can accommodate two cars, though parking is possible also on the small road outside. There's bus stop 20 metres from the house on the 24 route that's 20-25 mins to town.
